Five star safety is just one of the reasons Suzuki Swift remains New Zealand’s favourite supermini.

Suzuki Swift holds a 5 Star EURONCAP rating in crash safety – which is the highest possible level of safety globally. What’s more, Swift exceeded the tough standards to such a level it was listed as one of the best performing cars of 2010.

Swift led its class in adult occupant and child safety. Every model has 7 airbags, including a newly adopted knee air bag. ABS and an electronic stability programme (ESP™) are also standard, giving you greater vehicle control. A stronger yet lighter impact absorbing bodyshell, and whiplash mitigating front seats for extra protection in a rear impact accident are among Swift’s many other safety features.

Swift takes better care of the environment too, with its new 1.4 litre engine carefully designed to provide increased fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions, while delivering a brisk performance and highly enjoyable ride.

Comfort is paramount, from the height-adjustable driver’s seat to the standard air-conditioning. Suzuki’s attention to detail even extends to the instrument panel, which is clearly and logically arranged so everything is exactly where you’d expect to find it. The roomy interior offers a surprising amount of leg, shoulder and headroom, and every inch has been considered to provide maximum storage. That means you can enjoy all the benefits of a compact car, and still enjoy a sense of space around you.

It’s not just industry experts singing the praises of Swift – Suzuki owners were found to be the most satisfied drivers in a recent survey of over 2.9 million drivers across New Zealand. Suzuki’s ‘Real Value’ driveaway pricing continues to be a big contributor. Swift is priced from just $20,500, which includes 12 months registration, warrant of fitness, 3 year/100,000 km warranty and a full tank of fuel.

It’s little wonder then that Swift has been the top selling small car in New Zealand for a record-breaking seven years, and was recognised as New Zealand Autocar Small Car of the Year 2011. And that new 1.6 litre Swift Sport - the highly anticipated flagship model that’s just been released in New Zealand - won Best Buy Hot Hatch in the UK before it was even launched.
