Asthma is the most common cause of hospitalisation for children, and impacts hugely on the childhood years. Because of asthma, one in four children struggle to blow up a balloon. Balloon day, Friday, May 4, coincides with Asthma Awareness week (30th April to 6th May) and will help raise money and awareness for the NZ Asthma Foundation so they can continue to provide support to sufferers. To donate $3 text PUFF to 4561 or ring 0900 4 ASTHMA to make a $20 donation. Contact your nearest Asthma Society or trust for local events.
