• Re­sult! Not want­ing to blow our own trum­pet or any­thing but WE JUST WONAN IN­TER­NA­TIONAL AWARD FOR THIS MAG­A­ZINE! At a swanky awards din­ner held in Los An­ge­les ear­lier this month El­e­ment won an INMA (In­ter­na­tional News­me­dia Mar­ket­ing As­so­ci­a­tion) award for Prod­uct/brand/au­di­ence De­vel­op­ment. One of the many tal­ented writ­ers fea­tured reg­u­larly in these pages was so pleased for us she ran out into her gar­den and in a flurry of flo­ral ar­range­ment cre­ated on her lawn the mes­sage you see above. A poppy gram, if you will. No sooner had we heard this lovely news, when Gavin Healy, co-founder and se­nior brand man­ager of El­e­ment, was voted onto the board of the Sus­tain­able Busi­ness Net­work. It’s fit­ting recog­ni­tion of many years at the fore­front of us­ing me­dia to drive change and tell the in­cred­i­ble sto­ries in this space. Truth be told, he would have made the sus­tain­able hot­ties list fea­tured in our lead story if I didn’t have to sit be­side him all day. Throw in a ‘highly com­mended’ at the 2012 PANPA awards and, all in all, we’re feel­ing pretty chuffed with our­selves. In fact even more chuffed than we were be­fore all this on ac­count of the hun­dreds of en­cour­ag­ing emails and mes­sages from you, the readers. We won’t get com­pla­cent. Prom­ise.
