Those interested in a sobering world view of peak oil and the limits to growth would do well to attend the public lecture from sustainability guru Richard Heinberg this Sunday, September 24. He’s not one to shy away from challenging topics, and he will cover peak oil, climate change, the end of growth and, more positive, transition to a low carbon economy. Heinberg is a senior fellow of the Post Carbon Institute and is widely regarded as one of the world’s foremost Peak Oil educators. He is the author of 10 books including: End of Growth (August 2011) and blackout: Coal, Climate, and the Last Energy Crisis (2009).

Public talk: 1pm – 3pm Sunday, 30 September 2012 Fisher & Paykel Appliances Auditorium, behind the Owen G Glenn Building, The University of Auckland Business School, Level 0, 12 Grafton Rd.
