The Brancott Estate Living Land Series of wines is the flagship for Brancott Estate’s commitment to sustainability. Not only does conservation feature at every stage of the production process, but $1.00 from every bottle sold from the Series in New Zealand goes to the Living Land Fund to help restore and reintroduce the native New Zealand Falcon in Marlborough. Brancott Estate has been an active supporter of the Marlborough Falcon Conservation Trust for the past two years. The funds have also helped build a state-of-theart Brancott Estate Aviary within one of Brancott Estate’s vineyards. Patrick Materman, chief winemaker for Brancott Estate comments: “Working in harmony with nature not only ensures the sustainability of our winemaking, but of the land itself and the life upon it.” Today Brancott Estate’s focus on sustainability extends well beyond its own footprint. Brancott Estate’s environmental work starts in the vineyard. They were a founding member of New Zealand’s original sustainable winegrowing initiative and all of their vineyards are accredited under New Zealand’s Sustainable Winegrowing scheme. All Brancott Estate sites are certified to the ISO 14001 international environmental standard.
