Living treehouses

The ‘Roost’ conceptual tree houses by designer Antony Gibbon would be the dream of any child, and wouldn’t look out of place on the set of The Hobbit. The tree houses are ‘grafted’ onto the trunks in the manner of an epiphyte, and doesn’t harm the tree or stop it from growing. With accommodation below, and a viewing platform on top, the who structure is accessed via a spiral staircase. Many of the pods are designed to be clustered in a group of trees, meaning they all have just one access stairway to the ground.
