Green Kiwi ingenuity

Travelling the length and breadth of New Zealand with her seven-year-old son Connor, Emma Heke has found the environmental champions of this country and featured them in her new documentary ‘Our Green Roadie’.

The film features pioneers in green technology such as Bill Rucks from Water Alchemy in Nelson, who heats his hot water and fuels his gas stove entirely from household waste; environmental stewards like Mel McColgan from Waimaori Streamcare; to organic producers in a range of industries.

What it lacks in cinematic panache it more than makes up for with its uplifting stories. Visit facebook.com/OurGreenRoadie for more information and to purchase the DVD.
