Ziptrek Ecotours has sustainability as its core value, recently recognised with an Environmental Tourism Award.

The activity takes guests on an eco-adventure including the world’s steepest tree-to-tree zipline (flying fox), combined with a sustainability story, with Queenstown as its stunning backdrop.

“Expressing the stories of our place, connecting with the community and all within a context of touching the earth lightly is important, but doing it while having an enormous amount of fun is absolutely fundamental to tourism,” says director Trent Yeo.

The company gets involved in planting native trees, community projects, and even uses its own ziplines to help build tree houses, minimising disturbance of the forest floor below.
