Hellmann gets new Auckland Airport facility
Auckland Airport Ltd is to design and build a new head office, ambient and controlled-temperature warehousing and international air and ocean logistics facility for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
The 15,000 square metre infrastructure consisting of high bay ambient warehouse, multizone cold chain warehouse, enclosed drive through canopy and two story office complex will occupy the site on the corner of George Bolt Memorial Drive and Landing Drive and will be completed in Q3 2015.
“The move to this unique facility at Auckland Airport will bring together the ambient and controlledtemperature operations of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and Hellmann Perishable Logistics in Auckland onto a single prime site, increasing our agility, operating efficiency and capacity for growth,” says Chris McCagney, Hellmann New Zealand's managing director. “We are also investing directly alongside Auckland Airport here. The warehousing and international air and ocean logistics facility will incorporate a significant investment by Hellmann in environmentally friendly and energy efficient controlled-temperature infrastructure. This reinforces our commitment to many of New Zealand's leading exporters and importers.”
