Ooooby is a Kiwi-born online food trading platform that’s caught on across the ditch and is eyeing up the US market.

With scientists now recommending ten-plus fruit and vegetables a day, this web-based fruit and vegetable home delivery service resonates with the trend towards healthier living and the pervasive use of Internet shopping.
Ooooby (Out Of Our Own Backyards) started out in 2008 as an online network of food gardeners on Waiheke Island. Founder Pete Russell says the ability to meet, connect and share with other food gardeners tapped into an unmet need in the market which has since resulted in more than 5,000 members throughout New Zealand.
