A good field com­peted in a par round in colder con­di­tions with in­ter­mit­tent show­ers tak­ing its toll on many play­ers.

The greens were slow and the re­cent warmer days had given the rough a growth spurt, which was very pe­nal­is­ing for any way­ward shots.

Chris Ge­orge showed a clean pair of heels to come in 4 up on par shoot­ing 79 off the stick aided by birdies on4&12.

His two on the 12 in­cluded a 40-foot putt.

Ge­orge also had 7 pars.

James Mick­le­son came in 3 up with 9 pars.

Koke Cashell man­aged 2 up fly­ing home in 36 and aided by a birdie on the sec­ond.

Duane Dick also reg­is­tered 2 up and de­spite a shaky first 4 holes played the other 14 1 over the card with a birdie on the last.

Matt Thomas was 1 up which in­cluded a birdie on the 18 th and 13 pars.

On square were Danny Mick­le­son, Kevin O’Brien, Dave Pol­lard and Alan Thomas.

Two’s were reg­is­tered by Peter Valen­tine, Chris Ge­orge and Matt Booth.
