Lifetime memories from FHS

Feilding-Rangitikei Herald - - Season's Greetings -

If you want to live in a place where fat pants and hoodies are in and high heels and makeup is out, Manawatu is the place for you. I’ve lived here for 17 years, which may not seem like a long time, but it feels so significant to me. I learnt to swim at one of the community pools and spent my education at a few schools scattered around the region. I started attending Feilding High School in Year 11. It was the best decision I have made. The curriculum, teachers, students and the atmosphere, were all part of what made the last three years of my high school experience memorable.

I’ve developed friendships with a vast array of people with different ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs and hobbies, all of which hold so much value to me. I may have left Feilding High as a Year 13 preparing myself for the big, wide world (a gap year at a school in England), but I know the memories I shared there will last a lifetime. Some of my close friends may not be my friends in a few years’ time, yet I know that all the laughs, tears and awkward silences have helped me grow into the woman I am today. The last three years of my life are the years I will never want to forget.
