Summer camping at Vinegar Hill
Vinegar Hill reserve is one of the District’s most popular and well-used picnic and camping areas over the summer.
During this period it is expected that thousands of patrons will be visiting to swim, fish, camp, canoe and much more.
Council have worked hard this year to ensure the Vinegar Hill experience for all patrons is the most enjoyable one yet.
This includes improvements where earlier this year Council installed new solar lights and security cameras to ensure the site is protected and monitored 24/7.
Throughout the festive season Council have also employed Red Badge Security Services to monitor and respond to anyone exhibiting any form of anti-social behaviour. Those who do not respect the guidelines put in place will be asked to leave or referred to Police.
If you are camping out at Vinegar Hill this season please be considerate and mindful that other people have the right to stay there as well.
