Manawatu¯ psychology student Olivia Williams, from Feilding, has presented her research in front of experts from around the world. Williams attended the International School Psychology Association conference in Manchester, England where she put forward her findings on the state of educational psychology in New Zealand. Williams will sit an oral exam on October 13 to a panel that will determine if she is worthy to be a practicing psychologist. "Clinical psychology is what everyone thinks about when they think of psychology... this is a relatively new branch," she said. She thanked the Manawatu¯ District Council for a $1500 grant on Thursday.
