Reserve Management Plan Review

Feilding-Rangitikei Herald - - Our District News -

With summer approaching, our parks and reserves will be very popular places to visit. Manawatū District Council has over 70 Reserves that it owns or manages. Our reserve management plans are being reviewed and now is your opportunity to let us know your thoughts and ideas for our reserves.

The reserves are a significant recreational asset for our community, and since they were last reviewed the needs of the community have changed.

“To ensure our reserves meet the needs of our community now and into the future we are undertaking a comprehensive review of the plans over the next two years,” says community facilities manager Doug Tate.

We are encouraging the community to write down their ideas on the use, enjoyment, maintenance, protection, preservation and development of the reserves and their natural, cultural, heritage and recreational values over the next 10 years.

They can be sent by email to reservere or completed on line at www.haveyour or posted to Reserve Review, Manawatū District Council Private Bag 10001, Feilding 4743 Consultation closes 15 December 2017.
