Brownies help Timona Park
Last week Timona Park got a helping hand from 14 enthusiastic Brownies who planted 150 new trees, shrubs and grasses at the Campbell Street entrance.
Former parks manager and Councillor Albert James was on hand to talk about the plants and show the girls where they needed to be placed.
This activity provided an opportunity for the girls to learn more about the importance of plants in our environment and get practical experience in the revegetation process.
