A cracking start to 2018

Feilding-Rangitikei Herald - - Your Local News -

What a busy start to 2018 it has been. Council are having weekly discussions for the next 10 year plan of what our community is required to do by government, what our own requirements are and what our community wants to do and achieve - versus what we can afford and how we pay for it. This is about prioritising projects. Unfortunately we can't do everything so Council will have to agree on what are the best outcomes for our community thinking big picture.

Mayor Helen is keen to focus on projects which create long term wealth for everyone. The more residents and new businesses the Manawatū District can attract, benefits us all with more jobs, more ratepayers to spread the funding burden and ultimately allows us to achieve more as a community.

The draft plan will be out for your feedback in April.
