Food - - Birthday Baking -

My food phi­los­o­phy:

Cake is for ev­ery day and for ev­ery oc­ca­sion.

My most cher­ished food mem­ory:

Mak­ing and then cut­ting my own wed­ding cake.

The can’t-live-with­out in­gre­di­ents in my fridge:

Choco­late and cream for choco­late ganache. You never know when you might need some.

My last sup­per would be:

All those gluten-filled treats I have missed out on be­ing coeliac. My big­gest food in­dul­gence:

Nutella straight off the spoon.

The one food I re­ally don’t like eat­ing:

Or­anges – yuck.

My big­gest cook­ing/bak­ing dis­as­ter:

Hav­ing ar­rived at my best friend’s birth­day party af­ter care­fully trans­port­ing her sprin­kle cake, we parked on a hill and the jolt of the brakes made the whole cake slide right off the plate and into my lap. Thank­fully most of it was saved and she loved it any­way, but we found sprin­kles in the car for months af­ter.
