There’s a whole lot of buzz about mind­ful­ness but the ba­sic def­i­ni­tion of it is ‘liv­ing in the mo­ment’. It’s about be­ing aware of sen­sa­tions, emo­tions and thoughts but be­ing dis­con­nected and de­tached enough from them to not get caught up in their emo­tion. Mind­ful­ness train­ing in­volves med­i­ta­tion. Re­cent stud­ies have found that mind­ful­ness im­pacts re­gions of the brain in a pos­i­tive man­ner.
