The wine in­dus­try loves tra­di­tion and her­itage, which may suit older, more knowl­edge­able wine drinkers, but is less ap­peal­ing for young, in­flu­en­tial mil­len­ni­als. Re­search by UK wine sup­plier Kings­land Drinks re­vealed that younger wine drinkers aren’t so in­ter­ested in tra­di­tion, but in­stead “lean to­wards sweet­er­tast­ing styles”. In ad­di­tion, they’re not afraid of ex­per­i­ment­ing with new styles, such as wine in­fused with fruit.
