As the rain was falling, it was not a particularly nice day, so I needed to find something to keep the boredom away. It seemed the right time to start going through my ‘Do not touch’ collection of Foodtown / Food magazines. Amazement was not far away when I started going through them. Would you believe I found many ‘new’ recipes to try? Even when you think you have tried every recipe and read every tip, it pays to look back – you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see the things you have missed, and the great articles to re-read. So now, because I never want to ruin my Food mags, I have spent not only that rainy day but the following weeks copying loads of recipes into books. And I am only up to November 2011! As I mentioned, NO ONE touches my collection without first asking – so the thought of preserving my magazines for grandchildren, or someone to enjoy as much as I do, sits well with me. I hope they will be tried and tested, then passed on again.
