If you want a de­li­cious pick-me-up that is packed full of good­ness, it’s hard to go be­yond a fresh, homemade juice. And you don’t have to limit your­self to sim­ple fruit and veges – take yours to an­other level by adding herbs and spices. One of our favourites is the spice of the mo­ment; turmeric. Pop­u­lar for its an­tiox­i­dant and anti-in­flam­ma­tory ben­e­fits, turmeric matches well with cit­rus. Try juic­ing 2 car­rots with 4 or­anges and 15g fresh turmeric root. Serve im­me­di­ately topped with crushed ice, ground black pep­per and baby car­rot tops.
