Ki-o-Rahi a hit at fes­ti­val

ON AT­TACK: Pukekohe In­ter­me­di­ate at­tack the cen­tre tar­get as Waiuku Pri­mary de­fend dur­ing one of the semi­fi­nals in the Ki-o-Rahi tour­na­ment at the Franklin Mul­ti­cul­tural Fes­ti­val on Sun­day. Waiuku Pri­mary won this game, played on Field 1. Win­ners of fi­nals played on six fields in­cluded Pukekohe In­ter­me­di­ate, Pukekohe Hill ( two teams), Pa­tuma­hoe and Bom­bay (two teams). Af­ter the sports side of the fes­ti­val was fin­ished, cul­tural per­form­ers took to the out­door stage to en­ter­tain the crowd. The open­ing ad­dress was made by Min­is­ter for Eth­nic Af­fairs Pansy Wong, who was de­lighted to be in­vited to the event. More de­tails in Thurs­day’s pa­per.
