Franklin swimmers shine at champs
Fulton Swim School’s Aimee Moss performed brilliantly to break multiple records at the recent National Age Group Championships in Wellington.
Moss, swimming for the Howick Pakuranga club, secured gold in both the 50m and 100m Freestyle events with the fastest times ever recorded for 13-year-old girls at the national meet.
Counties Manakau records and, to top it off, qualified for the NZ Open Championships to be held later in the year.
Laura Cowling, who only swam her qualifying time shortly before the competition, was thrilled to come home with a new personal best time in the 800m freestyle.
Simone Cowling was fifth in the 50m Freestyle finals and also qualified for the NZ Open Championships.
