Franklin swim­mers shine at champs

Ful­ton Swim School’s Aimee Moss per­formed bril­liantly to break mul­ti­ple records at the re­cent Na­tional Age Group Cham­pi­onships in Welling­ton.

Moss, swim­ming for the How­ick Paku­ranga club, se­cured gold in both the 50m and 100m Freestyle events with the fastest times ever recorded for 13-year-old girls at the na­tional meet.




Coun­ties Manakau records and, to top it off, qual­i­fied for the NZ Open Cham­pi­onships to be held later in the year.

Laura Cowl­ing, who only swam her qual­i­fy­ing time shortly be­fore the com­pe­ti­tion, was thrilled to come home with a new per­sonal best time in the 800m freestyle.

Si­mone Cowl­ing was fifth in the 50m Freestyle fi­nals and also qual­i­fied for the NZ Open Cham­pi­onships.
