Superficial values concern

Am I in a minority by not being riveted by the fact that a couple of film stars have decided to file for divorce? I am appalled that this is headline news throughout the world. What a pathetic, manifestation of the shallowness of modern day society.

Why is this newsworthy when almost all Hollywood couples get divorced? It would seem more worth if a high profile ‘celeb’ made it to their silver wedding or managed to stay with one partner from tying the knot to leaving the world stage. There are so many wonderful, worthwhile people in the world and yet just because certain people work as actors and actresses they are raised up on pedestals.

Acting is just a job and there are far more laudable occupations around which do far more good for humanity. Several of my husband’s family
