Entries open for the Dairy Awards

-

Entries are now open for the Auckland-Hauraki Dairy Industry Awards 2017. Entries close on November 30 and a launch night will be held tonight at Farm Source Pukekohe.

‘‘The launch night is a great opportunity for potential entrants to hear what is involved in entering the awards and also to talk one-on-one with past entrants and winners,’’ said Rosemarie Costar, Auckland Hauraki Dairy Industry Awards’ regional manager.

‘‘Our committee fully encourages any potential entrant or employer wanting to know more about the awards to join us at launch night, enjoy a barbecue dinner and hear about the benefits of entering from past entrants and winners,’’ Costar said.

Costar said all were welcome to attend the entrants night.

‘‘We encourage all farming levels - from farm assistants, managers, share-milkers, contract-milkers, equity farmers, and other rural professionals to join us.’’

Tonight’s event will take place from 6.30pm at the Pukekohe Farm Source store. Costar said the night would have a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

‘‘You will meet supportive rural professionals from your region - along with your regional committee members, all who are all there to mentor and support entrants into achieving excellence through their career within the dairy industry.’’
