Toy­ota Fes­ti­val re­turns to Waikato

Toy­ota own­ers will be bounc­ing off the rev lim­iter in joy as the an­nual Toy­ota Fes­ti­val ig­nites next month, this time at the Hamp­ton Downs In­ter­na­tional Cir­cuit.

Af­ter tak­ing place at the High­lands Mo­tor­sport Park in Cromwell last year, the fes­ti­val re­turns to the North Is­land with a wide va­ri­ety of ac­tion planned for the In­ter­na­tional Cir­cuit.

Coin­cid­ing with the 50th an­niver­sary of the Toy­ota Corolla in New Zealand on April 1, the 2017 Toy­ota Fes­ti­val will be host to plenty of on and off track ac­tiv­i­ties.

Toy­ota New Zealand’s gen­eral man­ager of used ve­hi­cles and mar­ket­ing, An­drew Davis said: ‘‘Over the years we have been for­tu­nate enough to have Toy­ota mod­els that have ap­pealed to New Zealand mo­torists who have ul­ti­mately be­come en­thu­si­asts. This ranges from per­for­mance and sports car mod­els like the leg­endary AE86, MR2, Cel­ica and [the] new 86, to our SUV and 4x4 mod­els like [the] Hilux.’’

This year, Toy­ota will be in­tro­duc­ing their in­au­gu­ral Mo­torkhana com­pe­ti­tion to the event, adding more ex­cite­ment to the day.
