Franklin County News - - YOUR PAPER, YOUR PLACE -

With more than 100 exciting exhibitors, the Franklin Lifestyle and Home Expo is set to impress.

From the latest home trends, to exclusive show deals, organiser Aynsley Graham said it would be the perfect event for people to gain inspiration for their homes.

‘‘This year’s expo is going to be bigger and better than last year’s with over 20 new companies taking part, which has led to increasing our outdoor area.

‘‘It’s a great day out for all the family with loads of prizes and giveaways to be won,’’ said Graham.

‘‘We have some great food available in Food Truck Alley this year and once again you can sit and relax whilst listening to some sounds from our local musicians.’’

The musicians consist of Claire Kendall, Tash, Caitlin Kelly, Blondie & Surfer Boy and 8 Count dancers will put on a show as well.

Graham said if anyone was looking to change the look of their home, the expo was the perfect place to browse for inspiration.

‘‘We have a number of ontrend exhibitors at the expo in the flooring, curtain, paint and wallpaper industries showcasing the latest colour trends and styles.

‘‘Design Concepts will have the latest outdoor furniture from Germany for sale at the expo and there will be chalk paint demonstrations and wood carving demonstrations.’’

With winter just around the corner, she said the Naked Flame stall showcasing bio-fuel fireplaces would be especially interesting.

The fires, which produce no smoke or toxic fumes, are all clean air emissions approved.

‘‘There is no doubt that as daylight savings kicks in, and the months start to get colder, that home heating is always a hot topic.

Imagine a fire that required no flue or chimney, and often no consents, no chopping firewood or no toxic gas fumes.’’

Exclusive show deals will include a home theatre system from Gary Pye 100% at Waiuku and Panasonic and Westpac will be giving away an iPad and iWatch over the course of the weekend as well.

The event will be held on April 8-9 at the PIA Event Centre.

Tickets are $8 for adults, and under 16s are free if accompanied by an adult.
