FUNDRAISER

The Bloke’s and Sheila’s Blue Septem­ber Break­fast was held re­cently at Port Waikato. Guests en­joyed a de­li­cious break­fast and bought auc­tion items in a bid to raise money for a good cause. The event raised nearly $8000 for the Prostate Cancer Foun­da­tion, for re­search, ed­u­ca­tional pro­grammes and in­for­ma­tion.

IN­VI­TA­TION

Past pa­tients of the Auck­land & Coro­man­del West­pac Res­cue He­li­copters are in­vited to a fun af­ter­noon catch­ing up with res­cue crew. The free event in­cludes a light lunch, talks from past pa­tients, res­cue crew demon­stra­tions, and other fun ac­tiv­i­ties.Guests must RSVP by Friday Oc­to­ber 20 to re­serve their place and for cater­ing pur­poses. ART @ THE PORT

The Art @ the Port Fes­ti­val is on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 22 at Brasell’s Wool­shed, Port Waikato Rd, from 9am to 2pm. There’ll be art, crafts, pro­duce, mu­sic, food and white­bait frit­ters. Free en­try and ac­tiv­i­ties for the kids. Phone Glen­nis on 09 232 9532.
