IT’S SHOW TIME AGAIN!
The New Zealand Flower & Garden Show is back! The newly located Show will run from 29 November to 3 December 2017, at the Trusts Arena grounds, Waitakere, Auckland.
Kate Hillier, NZFGS Event Director says the Show is set to wow with something for everyone. “Fashionistas, foodies, DIYers, hobby gardeners as well as the garden shed tinkerers, green-thumbed and flower enthusiasts will be impressed by the hundred plus displays across over ten different categories,” says Hillier.
The Breast Cancer Foundation NZ (BCFNZ) is the official charity for the five-day event and the inaugural BCFNZ Pink Ribbon Walk will be designed and built by breast cancer survivor and award winning garden designer, Norma de Langen. Norma describes the design as symbolic of every breast cancer patient’s journey.
International designer Pascal Garbe is the Convenor of Judges. The multi-award winning French designer has previously judged NZ gardens and shows, but says he never tires of seeing the antipodean creativity and style. “The journey to the Southern Hemisphere is always worth it when I get to see the unique perspective that Kiwis bring to their designs,” says Garbe. “This year I’ll be looking for gardens that are both aspirational and accessible – a truly successful garden design is not just one that wows patrons, but also inspires show attendees to get their hands dirty in their own backyard.”
Tickets for the New Zealand Flower & Garden show go on sale from May 1 via Ticketek.
