POTATOES

Go Gardening - - Winter Planting -

Potatoes are one of the easiest and most rewarding crops to grow. Where space is limited, you can grow them in a bag. Certified seed potatoes, available in garden centres from June or July, are guaranteed to be true to type, free of disease and vigorous. In cold climates, planting is timed so that the shoots emerge after frosts have finished. In frost-free climates potatoes can be planted any time. Plant some soon for a Christmas crop.
