The holder of one Chef’s Hat and run­ner up in the ‘Best New Restau­rant’ cat­e­gory in the Cui­sine NZ Good Food Awards 2015, Jano Bistro prides it­self on serv­ing a sea­son­ally in­spired menu that show­cases the best of lo­cal New Zealand pro­duce. Head chef/ owner Pierre-Alain Fe­noux works with small lo­cal farms and sup­pli­ers to cre­ate ex­cit­ing and in­no­va­tive dishes that in­cor­po­rate new and clas­sic flavour com­bi­na­tions, tex­ture and his artis­tic flair. The restau­rant is lo­cated in a beau­ti­fully-re­stored his­tor­i­cal cot­tage, and is renowned for its de­gus­ta­tion and wine-match ex­pe­ri­ence - a must try if you visit Welling­ton.
