Want to feel fab­u­lous? Head along to the Par­nell en­clave of Cibo and put your­self in the able hands of af­fa­ble owner-maitre d’ Jeremy Turner. He will es­cort you to a plush ban­quette to nes­tle into, settle your hand/man-bag on its own lit­tle square of car­pet, then sug­gest some­thing spe­cial to drink from his lov­ingly tended wine list. It’s a great place for groups – so­phis­ti­cated with­out be­ing stuffy, with quirky touches such as hand mir­rors adorn­ing the walls and an ex­cel­lent court­yard that’s per­fect for long lunch­ing in. Chef Kate Fay’s dishes dis­play a lovely sense of cre­ativ­ity, as in a beau­ti­fully com­posed mush­room dish, herald­ing au­tumn with com­ple­men­tary flavours and tex­tures of buck­wheat, egg­plant, corn­bread and shi­itake gel.
