MADAM WOO

Good Food Guide - - Central Otago -

The original Madam Woo – there are now five around the country taking inspiration from traditional Malaysian street food – delivers authentic, well-balanced flavours in a buzzy setting. You can’t go past the popular hawker rolls with fresh, crunchy, punchy flavours wrapped in crisp buttery roti, or the vividly coloured Malaysian spiced chicken salad, zingy with lime, peanut and chilli. The Kum Heong-style soft-shell crab is a dish you will want to eat again, with its softly spiced combination of ginger, salty dried prawns and crisp curry leaves; as is the fragrant sticky, wobbly stir-fried pork belly cubes piled with greens and golden coriander seed crumbs. Choose an Asianinspired cocktail or from a great selection of brews and wines that will complement the more spicy elements of your meal.
