RED WINE: ORGANIC AND WITH A MEAL
On the one hand, we know red wine is high in polyphenols, reduces stress, and is heart-friendly. On the flip side of the coin, new guidelines advise that regularly drinking even moderate amounts of alcohol carries some risk of illness. It happens to be the case that red wine or rice wine are enjoyed in almost all of the longevity hot spots. This doesn’t prove that wine is a health drink, but it may be that the pros outweigh the cons when the wine in question is savoured the hotspot way: organic, in small amounts, and with a nutrient-rich meal.
