FIGHT BUGS WITH HERB STALKS
Often thrown away, the stems of parsley, coriander and basil are thought to have antibacterial properties, which could help fight infections.
TOP TIP Transform herb stalks into a pesto by putting a handful each of coriander and mint stalks, 1 clove of garlic, 50g parmesan and 100ml olive oil into a food processor and blitzing until smooth but with some texture. Store in the fridge in a sealed jar. You can vary the recipe according to what herbs and cheese you have.
