The pods of broad beans are su­per-healthy. They’re an ex­cel­lent source of fi­bre to stim­u­late your di­ges­tion.

TOP TIP Make crispy frit­ters with a hand­ful of pods, halved with stringy bits re­moved. In batches, dip into a mix of 250g flour and a pinch of salt, pepper and chilli pow­der, then into 250ml milk, back into the flour mix, then fry.
