Reiki helped me

“I turned to reiki after divorce and bereavement.”

– Alison, 37

“I had my first reiki session with Louise Croker after several years of feeling sad and alone. I’d separated from my husband in 2012, my mother passed away in 2014, then in 2015 I started to become emotionally drained through my job working with pregnant women with substance abuse issues. The first session was amazing – within minutes of Louise placing her hands on me I felt a spiral of energy shift from the top of my head through my body and out through my right foot. It was like a long-overdue adjustment and I left feeling like a weight had been lifted. I’ve had monthly reiki sessions for the past year, and find it so restorative and peaceful. I tend to drift in and out of consciousness, and might feel buzzing in certain chakras within my energy field. It’s really helped with acceptance towards my ex and co-parenting with him. It has also helped me become kinder to myself and model good self-care to my children.”

“Reiki helped my back pain and work stress.”

– Annie, 59

“I’ve been interested in spirituality for many years, so I’m very open-minded about reiki. I see Sam Avery several times a year, and she’s helped me with lower back pain and workplace bullying. I had about six difficult managers in a row, but I find reiki helps restore my energetic balance, and when I’m in balance, people don’t tend to attack me – on a subconscious level they don’t see me as a doormat to target. After a reiki session, my back pain is resolved for some time, and if it returns I know there’s an underlying issue I need to deal with. During sessions, I might experience warmth, tingling in my hands and feet, and sometimes my stomach starts gurgling, which is just the energy coming through. Afterwards, I’m blissed out and feel like everything is right with the world and back in balance.”
