Research shows around 47 per cent of Kiwis will experience a mental health issue during our lifetimes and some people find medication either doesn’t work or causes extreme side effects. Now scientists hope DNA testing can help identify more suitable and effective treatments by uncovering how an individual metabolises certain medications.
