Can meditation reduce inflammation?

Good Health Choices - - Be Informed -

AMeditation appears to reduce inflammatory markers in stressed people so making it a part of your day can help calm your mind and reduce the inflammation in your body. If you can’t fit meditation into your schedule, do it first thing in the morning, before you even get out of bed. You only need a few minutes. A meditation can be as simple as taking five slow, deep breaths, breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth. As you breathe out, imagine all thoughts flowing out with that breath and disappearing into the distance. That’s it! Need a little help getting the hang of it? Try the app Calm for a short course of guided meditation – free from Google Play or the App Store.
