the new Zealand Beef and Lamb Quality mark is an assurance you are purchasing new Zealand’s finest beef and lamb. new Zealand grown Free range tenderness guaranteed Free of Hormone Growth promotants (HGps) Strict animal welfare standards introduced in 1997, the goal of the Quality mark was to make beef and lamb better for new Zealand consumers. in particular, before the launch of the Quality mark, only 92% of beef and 94% of lamb products met tenderness criteria. the Quality mark manual set the standard for meat producers, and today 98% of beef and lamb meets that standard.
