Burke’s natural beauty hacks
Spot treatment
Make your own. A dab of manuka honey (minimum UMF15+ for skin) and a drop of tea tree oil dabbed on your spot overnight works wonders. Continue until inflammation is reduced. Most detox or purifying masks dabbed on the spot will also do the trick.
Toner
Apple cider vinegar has a great pH for balancing the skin, but don’t forget to dilute it – try a 2:1.5 vinegar to water ratio.
Custom moisturiser
Add a drop of one of your favourite facial oils to enrich your face cream. You can also try a dab of manuka honey, one of nature’s best humectants, blended with your day or night cream.
Brow control
If your brows are a bit wayward, use a brow gel or wax to keep them in place. A touch of lip balm or clear lip gloss will do the trick too. Your powdered eye shadow can give you a more natural brow touch-up than a pencil, and you may get a better colour match. Try a loose powder matt eye shadow to get a natural finish.
