Sophie Shi­eff of Cross­ing Paths is pas­sion­ate about the fu­sion of breath, yoga asana and med­i­ta­tion. Her classes are lim­ited to 10 peo­ple and are held in a bliss­ful can­dlelit space.

“Beauty to me is ac­cept­ing your­self, know­ing you are enough just as you are and be­ing proud of what you have to of­fer the world. I see beauty in peo­ple who are gen­uine, kind and hon­est.

If I didn’t work in a cor­po­rate job I would try to not wear make-up at all; I pre­fer to use nat­u­ral cos­met­ics. I suf­fer from eczema so I can’t have fra­grance in any of my skin­care and hair­care prod­ucts. I use a lovely nat­u­ral sham­poo, con­di­tioner and body wash from Aus­tralian brand A’kin.

Yoga can help with im­prov­ing di­ges­tion and cir­cu­la­tion. When your body has bet­ter blood flow and oxy­gen it is more likely to pro­duce glow­ing skin. Yoga helps re­duce stress and cre­ates an in­ner calm that as­sists with sleep – a bet­ter rest means a more re­ju­ve­nated face. In­ver­sions are also fan­tas­tic for anti-age­ing. That doesn’t mean you have to be able to do a hand­stand; a sim­ple down­ward dog can do the trick.”
