Sophie Shieff of Crossing Paths is passionate about the fusion of breath, yoga asana and meditation. Her classes are limited to 10 people and are held in a blissful candlelit space.
“Beauty to me is accepting yourself, knowing you are enough just as you are and being proud of what you have to offer the world. I see beauty in people who are genuine, kind and honest.
If I didn’t work in a corporate job I would try to not wear make-up at all; I prefer to use natural cosmetics. I suffer from eczema so I can’t have fragrance in any of my skincare and haircare products. I use a lovely natural shampoo, conditioner and body wash from Australian brand A’kin.
Yoga can help with improving digestion and circulation. When your body has better blood flow and oxygen it is more likely to produce glowing skin. Yoga helps reduce stress and creates an inner calm that assists with sleep – a better rest means a more rejuvenated face. Inversions are also fantastic for anti-ageing. That doesn’t mean you have to be able to do a handstand; a simple downward dog can do the trick.”
