Good - - GOOD STUFF -

Guilt-free ice cream

If you haven’t already dipped a spoon into a tub of WāHiki ice cream then we suggest you do. This dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, halal and Coeliac New Zealand- approved chilled treat will satisfy your tastebuds. The only issue is we can’t decide which of the four flavours – vanilla, mango, chocolate and matcha – is the best as they are all so dreamy. Using coconut as a base, each ice cream contains 100 per cent natural non- GMO plant-based ingredients.

Sweet set

Le Creuset’s set of four ice cream bowls, $ 144, is part of its new Sorbet Collection inspired by simpler times when hearing the bell of the ice cream truck rolling up the street meant all would be right in the world.

Ice cream experience

Giapo has taken gourmet ice cream to a whole new level with its recently opened kitchen at 12 Gore St, Auckland. Offering what chef Giapo Grazioli describes as a ‘discombobulating menu’ which dishes up unexpected yet mouth-watering combinations including a Māori fry bread sandwich with a generous slice of chocolate ice cream. There’s also yummy gyoza, poutine and arancini. Yes, really.
