EcoCamp Patagonia

Good - - TRAVEL -

Immerse yourself in the wilderness of Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia. Award-winning EcoCamp Patagonia was a pioneer in sustainable travel when it opened in 2001 as the world’s first geodesic-dome hotel. Inspiration for the domes was taken from the local indigenous Kaweskar tribe and their ‘leave no trace’ lifestyle; the domes run on solar and hydraulic energy, have a sophisticated waste recycling system, and blend in nicely with the environment.

The hotel is a haven for lovers of nature walks, hikes, wildlife watching, horse riding, mountain biking, adventure, and even yoga. People who end up at this family-friendly place like the fact that they’re exploring the wilderness without leaving a footprint.

EcoCamp is open from September to April (southern hemisphere summer and the months either side) when the weather is at its most stable.
