Good

A Good reason to celebrate

- Carolyn Enting, editor carolyn@good.net.nz

There’s so much to celebrate in this issue. For starters it’s Good’s 10th birthday. Plus we announce the 12 category winners of the inaugural Ceres Organics Good People Awards, which attracted 82 entries. It was truly inspiring and humbling to read all the entries and a very tough job for the judges. You can find out more about the selection process, entries and who the winners are on pages 49 to 63.

To celebrate Good’s birthday we invited some of New Zealand’s leading contemporary artists to create bespoke illustrations on the theme ‘Life is good’. You can find these stunning illustrations on pages 29 to 35. Four of these talented artists – Lisa Baudry, Hayley ‘Flox’ King, Hannah Jensen and Anieszka Banks – came together to pose for this special art-meets-fashion cover with a twist. They’re wearing New Zealand ethical fashion by some of the designers who will be taking part in Good’s first ever Sustainable Style Show at New Zealand Fashion Week in September as part of NZ Fashion Weekend. Discover more about the show on pages 24 to 26 and how to buy tickets on page 9.

Lastly, but certainly not least, Good is going quarterly. You will notice this issue has more pages to increase your reader experience, and by reducing our print frequency we are improving our carbon footprint, which we are excited about. We’ll continue to bring you the latest news on good.net.nz with even more content.

Thank you for your support over the past decade. Cheers to us but mostly cheers to you!
