New Zealand’s own indie electro pop singer Theia will be performing at Hamilton’s Nivara Lounge on Thursday, September 13.

She will be performing her latest singles, Bye Bye and Bad Idea along with a selection of unreleased material. Fans have the chance to be among the first in the world to hear her new tracks.

The show will be opened by local band Looking for Alaska.

Having performed at festivals such as Rhythm & Vines and Bay Dreams, Theia is becoming well known in New Zealand.

Performing at small and cozy venues with just a two-piece band, fans will be able to get up close with the Christchurch artist.

“I really wanted to be able to perform in more intimate settings and get closer to them,” Theia said.

“You really do vibe off having a big crowd, but it’s nice to perform in smaller spaces.”

She loves every aspect of what she does, but her favourite part is being able to share her work with other people.

“I find so much joy and therapy in writing and performing.

“To see them connect and feel the lyrics and seeing that on their faces,” she said.

“I feel like it’s my purpose.” She will be performing at Ante Social in Auckland on September 12 and Palmerston North’s The Stomach on Friday September 14.
