Does the idea of own­ing cafe´ ap­peal, but you aren’t quite sure where to start?

In this ex­cit­ing course, Run Your Own Cafe´, tu­tor David He­ber­ley takes you through the ba­sics of open­ing your own cafe´, cov­er­ing as­pects like plan­ning, meal de­sign, ad­ver­tis­ing, bank­ing, tax­a­tion and staffing.

You will also learn about menu de­sign and ad­ver­tis­ing de­sign.

And you’re in safe hands: David has been a tu­tor in cater­ing and hos­pi­tal­ity for over 20 years, own­ing and op­er­at­ing cafes and restau­rants, as well as a hos­pi­tal­ity train­ing school.

‘‘The pur­pose of this course is to il­lus­trate the ben­e­fits of own­ing your own busi­ness,’’ says David.

‘‘It will also cover the is­sues that could cre­ate prob­lems for the busi­ness owner.’’

Com­puter lit­er­acy and spread­sheets will be a part of the course.
