Coromandel rescue helicopter callouts

September 1: Whangamata Crew tasked to Whangamata to assist a male patient in his 70s suffering a medical complaint. Unfortunately, the patient died and crew returned to base.

September 6: Whitianga Crew tasked to Whitianga to assist a male patient in his 80s suffering a medical complaint and in a moderate condition. It was decided to transport the patient to hospital via road ambulance and crew returned to base.

September 7: Square Top Island crew tasked by the Rescue Coordination Centre to the northern tip of the Coromandel Peninsula near Square Top Island to assist a vessel whose emergency locator beacon had activated. It turned out to be a false alarm and Westpac 1 returned to base.

September 8: Tairua crew tasked to Tairua to assist a female patient in her 80s who had suffered a fall. She was flown to Auckland City Hospital in a moderate condition.

September 9: Colville crew tasked to Colville to assist a female patient in her 40s suffering a medical complaint. She was flown to Waikato

Hospital in a moderate condition. Whitianga crew tasked to the Ferry Landing to assist a male patient (age unknown) suffering a medical complaint. He was flown to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition. September17: Thames crew tasked to Thames to assist a male patient in his 80s who had been struck by a car. He was flown to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition and later died. September 21: Crosbies Hut crew tasked to Crosbies Hut, Coromandel Forest Park to assist a male patient in his 40s suffering an injury while walking. He was flown to Thames Hospital in a minor condition. September 22: Coromandel crew tasked to Coromandel to assist a male patient in his 50s suffering a medical complaint. He was flown to Waikato Hospital in a moderate condition. September 24: Thames crew tasked to assist with the inter hospital transfer of a female patient in her 70s suffering a medical complaint. She was flown from Thames Hospital to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition.

September 27: Thames crew tasked to Thames to assist a female patient in her 70s suffering a medical complaint. She was flown to Auckland Hospital.
