Thank you to everyone who has registered for our November 3-5 reunion (St Francis Parish and St Francis School 150th reunion).
150 years is certainly worth celebrating and each day will start at 10am.
First on Friday November 3 with the children and Bishop Denis Browne who started here at Thames many years ago as a young priest.
The Saturday will start with Father Malone who is head of the Franciscans here in New Zealand to honour his fellow and very popular Franciscan, Father Nivard, our founding priest and key advocate for our Thames Hospital in 1867 and on Sunday we have Bishop Pat Dunn honouring us.
You can pick up an enrolment form from the school and Parish Centre.
The registration pack and magazine will be available also from the Parish Centre from 9am on the Friday which is our focus day for the school, sharing lunch with the kids, looking around the classes and viewing past school photos.
Later from 6pm we have the very popular meet and greet social gathering under the big marquee.
On the Saturday after mass we gather for the official opening at 11.30am, lunch/ light refreshments and entertainment, group photos and a catch up before heading away to gather again at the Civic Centre from 6.30pm for our grand reunion dinner and social night with great entertainment.
Our Sunday mass with Bishop Dunn also starts at 10am followed by our final morning tea gathering together.
If you haven’t booked to be at the dinner, please do so before October 30.
